Our Mission and Vision
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We value every child and we believe that ‘every child is special’.
At Al Salam Community School (ASCS), we want our students to respect people, culture and the community at all times. We will ensure that our students develop an international mindset and gain international qualifications. Hence, upon successfully completing their education with ASCS, they are equipped for life and have choices that will enable them to be successful in their further education and future careers.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”list_type”]We will take certain measures to ensure that our Vision is achieved.
We will:
- promote inclusion so that every child feels a special part of the school
- establish the Heritage Centre at the heart of the school so we can immerse students in the language, literature, culture, commerce and local experience of the UAE
- adopt the National Curriculum for England and the Cambridge curriculum which is then enhanced with cross-curricular opportunities, pastoral programmes and activities to encourage students to learn about Dubai’s history and prosperity
- develop the curriculum in work schemes and planned cross-curricular experiences that challenge and motivate the students
- embed teaching and learning quality
- monitor student progress – paying attention to each child’s and each group’s learning potential and trajectories
- challenge students to take responsibility for themselves and their learning
- engage parents in a positive dialogue about achieving their child’s potential
- provide strong leadership that empowers staff and students, models behaviour and communicates well
- promote high standards in all we do

- We focus on teaching our students a foundation for life. To not only empower them with the knowledge they need to excel in life but to also teach them social awareness, respect, resilience and to collaborate with others.
- In addition to mathematics and English, we consider Arabic to be an important part of our curriculum.
- We believe in our community. We actively encourage parents to get together via our PALS (Parents of Al Salam) activities and welcome high parental involvement in the education of children.
- We believe in the strength of family and the power of kindness and fairness. The founders of Al Salam Schools are all family and we treat our staff as such, as well.
